Ready to make a difference in the lives of Tanzanian youth? Volunteer with Pillars of Hope!

You will have an unforgettable experience while helping others and learning about the challenges of our youth in Tanzania. The PoHEO volunteer team will be with you every step, so you won’t have to worry about a thing.

Pillars of Hope organizes airport pick-up, accommodation, meals and all details for your stay. Safety is our top priority and our volunteers are supported with in-country leadership and hosts.

What are your areas of interest? PoHEO has three main areas for volunteer participation:

• Volunteering with street youth outreach

• Supporting youth in need with our shelter partners

• Working with Community Stakeholders

You will need to determine how long you would like to volunteer for. If you are undecided you can work with our volunteer coordinator for recommendations to accommodate your specific needs.

Please spend a few minutes and complete the no-commitment volunteer form. Our team can check to ensure availability for your selected dates. We will answer any questions and confirm your volunteer placement. There is a program registration fee and room and board expense. Once paid we will secure your spot with Pillars of Hope!

If circumstances change you can make changes to your start date up to 14 days in advance.

Pillars of Hope will be guiding you every step of the way. We will help get you ready for your volunteer experience by answering your questions and ensuring you complete our pre-arrival online training and preparation checklist. This online training will help you to understand how to schedule flights and visa, get an international medical check-up, volunteer responsibly, stay safe, set your expectations, prepare for cultural differences, and much more.
